Mike laid his lips on hers , tentatively at first , exploring , nibbling , waiting for her permission to take more . She returned the need , the rising passion , and surrendered to it . He latched his lips onto hers , nudging her mouth open and inching his tongue inside . She welcomed him , felt his building desire , and answered it with her own , found herself drowning in it . He left her mouth on saw-offed breaths and began kissing his way down her throat as their chests heaved against each other and their hearts pounded in unison . Suddenly he ripped his mouth away . “ Laney ,” he muttered , stepping back and glueing the palms of his hands to his knees . “ You have no idea how badly I want to take you back to my room .” He scanned the beach restlessly . “ Or improvise .” She did , actually . “ Mike —” “ I know . We can ’ t ,” he interrupted her . “ Not with those eyes .”

Martha O ’ Sullivan has loved reading romance novels for as long as she can remember . Writing her own books is the realization of a lifelong dream . She is a graduate of Illinois State University where she wrote for the school newspaper and was a proud member of Zeta Tau Alpha . She is also a former Acquisitions Editor at Mac- Millan Computer Publishing . Martha writes contemporary romances with traditional couples and happy endings . Her current work-in-progress is Christmas in Tahoe . A native Chicagoan , she lives her own happy ending in Tampa with her husband and two daughters .
