Stumbling Into Strange Beauty LM: I’ve written six novels and a handful of short stories. They’ve all been pub- lished by small presses, although at the moment only two are in print. My Russ Morgan mysteries will be re- released by NineStar Press next year. I’m hoping The Garden Witch will make it to one of the big New York houses. MFRW: What do you hope readers take with them after reading your work? Whatever story I’m telling, I want to make readers think as well as feel. My hope is that when readers come to the end of one of my stories, they carry a little more resilience and a refreshed sense of wonder back into their daily lives. Generally, how long does it take you to write a book? Anywhere from one to five years. What can we expect from you in the fu- ture? I’ve spent the last several years writ- ing The Garden Witch, a fantasy ex- ploring our relationship to the power and balance of nature. I’m currently finishing up my fourth revision. How many books have you written? How many have been published? LM:
