In 1948 Skip Denison ’ s father , after whom he was named , started Broward Marine in Fort Lauderdale , Florida . In 1975 Skip began to manage the yard and repair business for Broward , where he increased the gross and net revenue 5 times within an 11-year period for Broward Marine . In 1977 , Broward started a new plant in Saugatuck , Michigan to take advantage of an extremely talented and experienced workforce along the West Michigan shoreline . In 1986 , Skip began his own enterprise , Skipper ’ s Oil , servicing shipyards and marinas throughout Florida , and returned to his first love , yachting , in June 2008 when he joined the yacht brokerage business at Tower Marine in Saugatuck , where he was the top salesman . Skip later joined Downeast Yachting and was responsible for selling new Sabre Yachts and Back Coves in West Palm Beach , Florida and Michigan . Skip joined Denison Yacht Sales in 2012 and specializes in the sale of superyachts over 80 ’, Downeast style yachts , express cruisers , center consoles , sportfish , and of course , brokerage Browards . In addition to calling Palm Beach Gardens and Fort Lauderdale home , Skip spends his summer months in Montauk , New York .
