MEET SCOTT
Capt. Scott Sedlak grew up in Michigan, graduated Bangor High School.
He grew up boating on inland lakes and the Great Lakes. Worked as a
meat cutter for four years then joined the US Navy, boot camp at Great
Lakes Naval Base. He went to Philadelphia Naval Base to train at HT
"A" School for fire fighting. He then transferred to Norfolk Naval Base
Norfolk Virginia, and worked at SIMA R1Division, Ship fitters shop and
worked in many of the Shipyards up and down the east coast.
Scott went to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Weld "C" School two NEC
4954 (Plate Welder) NEC 4955 (High pressure Pipe welder) transferred
to SIMA Weld shop and worked on all of the ships stationed in Norfolk
Naval Base welding on level 1 high pressure main steam lines. During
his time in the Navy he joined NASF (Naval Auxiliary Security Force).
His duty was to stand watch for the admiral of Norfolk Naval Base and
the Colonel of the Marines during Operation Desert Storm.

After the Navy Capt. Scott opened his first scuba shop located on Lake
Michigan in South Haven Michigan. Sold dive gear, serviced dive gear,
taught scuba classes, he was one of the first to teach NITROX diving
and mixed gases. He ran dive charters to the many shipwrecks on Lake
Michigan and the Great Lakes and ran dive travel vacations all over the
Caribbean. He became an instructor evaluator for the training agency
IDEA (internal Diving Education Association) as well as trained several
fire department search and rescue dive teams.
Capt. Scott became Property Manager and personal Captain for Mr.
Aubrey McClendon from 2000 to present. Capt. Scott started working
for Mr. Aubrey McClendon and his family at his property located in
St. Joseph Michigan in 2000. His duties include full responsibility of
4 properties, 2 houses, pool, tennis court, etc in Saint Joe Michigan
as well as 350 acres of property, 3 houses in Saugatuck. He cared for
and maintained all houses year round, hired and supervised tradesmen
as needed for major home improvements projects and/or repairs,
maintained all Michigan water crafts (14 total) and vehicles (8 total).
Capt. Scott was on call 24/7 as a personal assist to Mr. Aubrey
McClendon and family during their time in Michigan. He also
completed the requirements for a 100 (GRT) Merchant Mariner
License. He Piloted a 56' commuter vessel from Midland Canada to
its new home in Saint Joseph Michigan. He would make sure all of his
vessels would be ready to go anywhere at anytime, on a moments
notice and would travel with his boats to different locations around
the country. He would plan and make arrangements for dockage
for vessels, planning and charting courses around the Great Lakes,
Mississippi River and Intercoastal.
He also took family members and VIP's out for boat rides and enjoys
being in the boating industry and working with people. Scott is excited
for his chance to join forces with Denison, helping clients with the
process of buying and selling yachts.
