ABOUT BRUCE
A dynamic, well-respected professional and a passionate yachtsman,
Bruce has more than three decades of experience in all aspects of
the global yachting industry. A native of California, Bruce grew up
in Santa Cruz, where he enjoyed offshore sailboat racing, surfing,
and diving in Monterey Bay. After college, Bruce was hired by Fraser
Yachts in San Diego, becoming the top-selling West Coast broker at
the age of 26. In 1986, he moved to Fraser’s office in Fort Lauderdale,
Fla., traveling to Europe and the Caribbean to inspect yachts and
builders while furthering his knowledge of the super yacht market.

In 1999, Bruce became Managing Director/Partner of The Sacks
Group Yachting Professionals, where he managed a “fleet” of luxury
charter yachts from 60’ to over 200’. Following The Sacks Group’s
merger with International Yacht Collection (IYC), Bruce moved
to yacht sales, charter and management company Y.CO USA as
Director of U.S. Operations. He later joined Allied Marine, where he
successfully worked to develop its charter and super yacht operations,
and also opened their newest showroom in Fort Lauderdale.
Denison Yacht Sales is pleased to now have Bruce heading up its
Super Yacht Division, located at The Quay in the heart of Fort
Lauderdale. Bruce is dedicated to growing the company’s Charter
Division and Super Yacht Division, supported by the company’s strong
global presence of 17 offices worldwide and respected reputation of
the Denison family name.
Deeply involved in the yachting industry, Bruce is a past President of
the Florida Yacht Brokers Association (FYBA), and has served on its
Board of Directors since 1999. He is a Founding Member of the U.S.
Superyacht Association, as well as the Mediterranean Yacht Brokers
Association (MYBA).
One of Bruce’s specialties is consulting with yacht owners about the
intricacies of running a charter yacht business. He can advise owners
on Corporate Structure, Flag State Issues, Marketing Strategies, Crew
Recruitment and Retention. He can refer them to Legal and Tax
Advisers, and prepare proformas on “Ownership Cost vs. Potential
Income Projections.”
