Focus of players will become more hybrid in terms of distribution as the companies will look to penetrate the growing online space over the coming years. More private label brands by the online players similar to Babyhug (Firstcry) and Fab n Funky (Firstcry) will be launched in order to generate higher margin. Some consolidation may also be witnessed in future among the organized players. Prams/strollers and walkers will continue to dominate the space since these two products are considered as essential requirements by the parents in the country. Market for baby prams/strollers has been projected to grow from INR ~ billion in FY’2017 to INR ~ billion in FY’2022. On the other hand, share of tri-cycles market will relatively decline over the period FY’2018- FY’2022.
