SOCCER
3rd Team
The 3rd team showed a lot of heart and determination throughout the
season. A good attitude coupled with a willingness to learn ensured that
many players, if not all, improved throughout the season. Unfortunately, the
lack of a goalkeeper led to many a result not going our way. This was very
unfortunate considering the good standard of football that was played by
the attacking players. J Cooper stood out in the field with a good shooting
technique and has the potential to play in a higher team next season. The
team was a pleasure to coach, with camaraderie and good spirit shown
throughout the season. I hope to see many of the boys back again next
year.

U16A
The year proved to be a trying time for the U16A soccer team. There was
no lack of quality players in this particular age group, but most of the better
players moved up to the 1st team. This was good for our young talented
players. Unfortunately a few of the players who had to step up did not
possess adequate skills to compete well with other schools. As a result, they
played seven fixtures and won only two. The effort and passion displayed
by the boys was incredible. The season was always exciting and only good
results were lacking. We look forward to another exciting year in 2017.
