CRICKET
U15E
The boys in this team developed an amazing bond that was seen both on
and off the field. Led by captain B Christopher, they carried out their task in
a purposeful manner. The captain was always in control and encouraged
his team in every game. It was heart-warming to see the players take
instruction from him.
a decent haul of wickets. L Landsberg proved handy with the gloves. He
initially filled in as keeper but stayed there, developing into a safe pair of
hands.
Well done to the team and all the best for the year ahead.
Regular players:
The opening attack of D Furmage and Christopher kept the opposition
scoring well within a reachable target. The consistent line and length by
these two bowlers often provided an early breakthrough. D Odell and
J Ayliff supported the opening pair with some good and accurate bowling.
Ayliff took the most wickets for the team with his spin bowling. A Breedt (captain), L Landsberg, D Lutchman, B Merrington, S Miekeljohn,
Y Bhika, L Stander, J Hartley, K Naicker, C Harper, S Dlamini , S Maphanga
T Johnson displayed his skill with some acrobatic fielding and on some
occasions with some nearly impossible catches. The batting of M Ryan,
Johnson, K Smith and S Zungu meant that this team was always going to
be difficult to beat. vs Grace College U15A:
