The Jimeloyo Fund Since the establishment of our Foundation in 2011, we have been blessed by the goodwill and financial support of the Maritzburg College Community to sustain our operations and financial contributions to Maritzburg College. �� Our dream was that it should be possible for every College Old Boy and Supporter to be able to invest in the future of our great school. We recognize the fact that not all Old Boys and Supporters are in a position to pledge a substantial lump sum contribution, hence the various categories ranging from Bronze to Prestige allowing pledges and donations of varying values and payment options. Notwithstanding our shift of focus to the Alan Paton Memorial Scholarship Fund and the Heritage Capital Fund, we continue to offer every passionate member of the Maritzburg College Family the opportunity of helping change lives and shape futures through this social impact initiative which we have appropriately named the Jimeloyo Fund. To many College stalwarts, the term “Jimeloyo-Ji” is recognized as a call to arms! It is used to rouse and inspire our sportsmen and learners and stirs the blood of every College supporter. The iconic Jimeloyo statue on the Forder Oval at College depicts a young Maritzburg College boy in the throes of launching his basher skyward, filled with youthful vigour and passion. The Jimeloyo Fund offers you the opportunity to pledge your support in any of the available categories starting from as little as R10 000. The monthly payment option makes an investment in Maritzburg College possible for all prospective donors. Lump sum payments are also possible. These funds are used to support existing and new bursaries, growing our endowment fund and providing ad-hoc support to Maritzburg College for a range of smaller and more immediate projects.
