Can Lis is among the masterpieces of architecture of all times, it has no belonging to a specific style or trend in architecture because of its obedience to extremely clear principles of tectonics. The purity of its volumes and their arrangement in the surrounding environment remounts to the ancient greek temples, while the concept and the building technique appears to be radically innovative. Utzon built this house for him and his family after deciding to retire on the mediterranean island of Mallorca.
