Ed Schwartz began his career in wine promotion at New York ’ s “ 21 ” Club . As his interests in wine grew , he moved West to be closer to the grapes . Ed has written more than 500 published articles on wine , food and travel . Mostly recently , Ed was the wine editor for The Nob Hill Gazette .
Harley White Sr . M . A ., is a Bay Area string bassist and jazz performing icon . He is also a music educator and has taught in K-12 , community colleges and graduate school music programs . He has performed with many jazz legends such as Dizzy Gillespie , Earl “ Fatha ” Hines , and Sonny Stitt , to name a few . He has also performed in other genres of music including rock-n-roll groups , Air Force concert bands , gospel groups ( Edwin Hawkins Singers ), classical music ( The Oakland Symphony ) ; and also served as a trustee of the Peralta Community College District for six years from 1986 to 1992 ( public office ). He earned a Masters degree in Music Education from Cal-State University at Hayward in 1977 . He enjoys reading and studying American History , writing original music , and recording music in his retirement .”
