How They Met : Two months after Kim and Will met at a roulette table at the Mandalay Bay Casino in Las Vegas in 2014 , they booked a trip to New York City . Like a Hollywood movie , they wined , dined and took a romantic carriage ride through Central Park . Once they returned home , Kim and Will knew they one day wanted to live in the big city where their romance blossomed . As luck would have it , Will was transferred to New York for work on March 31 , 2015 . On that day , he took Kim to the same restaurant they went on their trip one year before and asked her to marry him . Four days later , Kim and Will headed to the city clerk in NYC just like Carrie Bradshaw and Mr . Big of Sex and the City and tied the knot .
