Since 2014, we have been hearing and seeing in the news about a catastrophic war that has been happening in the Middle East, specifically, Syria. Everyone talks about it, a lot of civilians are dying, and millions of others are homeless or injured. Nowadays, 2018 the war still continues.
As time passes, more powerful countries are getting involved, the attacks are getting more vicious, the whole human kind is concerned to what extent this countries are willing to go. Some people are calling this the next World War 3.
But do we really know why this conflict started?

1. What caused the uprising?
Pro-democracy protests erupted in March 2011 in the southern city of Deraa after the arrest and torture of some teenagers who painted revolutionary slogans on a school wall. President Bashar al Assad to matain the uprising movements under control decides to act violently against them. Opposition supporters began to take up arms too, first just to defend themselves and later to expel the police from their local areas.
