Distribution, Imagine Communications.“ The software-only XC, which provides marketleading deployment flexibility and exceptional video quality, complements previously released configurations of the Selenio One.”
Selenio One is among the first platforms to be released within Imagine’ s initiative to empower media companies to adopt technology in a modular fashion, with the objective of reducing complexity and increasing integration across workflows and traditional operational divisions within a media facility.
Mediaproxy – Stand SL2916 The provider of software-based broadcast and IP video solutions will be showcasing major updates to LogServer, Monwall, TSAnalyzer, LogPlayer and the Aircheck mobile app. The comprehensive suite of MediaProxy software enables broadcast engineers to manage critical monitoring, analysis and compliance functions all in one place.
The Aircheck mobile app works in conjunction with LogServer and allows for real-time broadcast stream monitoring on iOS and Android devices. Aircheck offers broadcast engineers and executives access from anywhere to content sources, playout, and transmissions and is the first mobile app to support live multiview monitoring for viewing master control panels on smartphones and tablets. Aircheck is available via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

of handling 16 channels at one time, it is the highest density IRD currently on the market. Being completely software based, running as apps on standard IT hardware, it is also much more cost efficient than comparable solutions, enabling flexible deployment of contribution services over IP. Open Broadcast Systems will also be launching a solution to natively generate uncompressed IP signals using a standard IT network and existing hardware. This will enable
broadcasters to deliver extremely high quality uncompressed feeds over IP at a much lower cost than previously possible.
“ Most of the industry agrees that IP contribution and distribution brings a number of benefits when it comes to cost and bandwidth efficiencies,” commented Kieran Kunhya, founder, Open Broadcast Systems.“ What most don’ t realise is that the technology already exists today to deliver that with high reliability.”
Rohde & Schwarz – Stand SL 1205 The ingest and playout platform from Rohde & Schwarz provides the most flexible and advanced workflow options. complement of tools to move video from ingest to any screen: efficiently handling all the latest formats and standards, including HDR, IMF, 4k and UHD, integrating social media into the broadcast workflow, and monetising content through live event and live linear streaming.
Visitors will see how the Vantage Media Processing Platform streamlines operations and creates new revenue streams by orchestrating discrete tasks. Vantage allows users to ingest, edit, transcode, QC, package, monetise, and distribute their media. It currently supports HDR, UltraHD and 4K and IMF.
“ While we’ ve been developing full support for UHD, 4K and HDR video formats, consumers are now familiar with and driving growth with HDR adoption in particular. Whether NAB attendees need to move HDR video through their existing workflows, transcode it for use in non-HDR environments, insert QC checks or handle closed captions and subtitles, Telestream has tested, proven solutions to handle it,” explains Paul Turner, vice president of enterprise products at Telestream.
V-Nova- Encore Las Vegas The video compression solutions provider will debut its next generation V-Nova PERSEUS, a video processing technology that addresses today’ s video delivery challenges, closing the gap between consumer expectations for video services and networks capacity constraints.
Two years after the launch of the first generation, V-Nova PERSEUS 2 expands the codec’ s capability to enhance performance, simplify deployment into real-world environments and reduce operating costs through improved efficiency. V-Nova PERSEUS 2 adds further quality improvements around the key operating points that really matter to service providers, operators and consumers. V-Nova PERSEUS 2 addresses the real bottlenecks of IP video delivery, allowing for better viewing experiences across all data networks.
Guido Meardi, V-Nova CEO and cofounder, said:“ We worked hard over the past two years, listening to customers’ feedback to develop V-Nova PERSEUS 2. With it, we are addressing the real needs of the industry and enabling our customers to deliver high quality video across all networks. As a pure software solution, V-Nova PERSEUS 2 provides unprecedented CAPEX savings, server farm space reduction, more effective deployment in the cloud and overall simplification of service delivery, which is often the material difference in formulating a successful business case for the launch of a new greenfield OTT or IPTV service, or in upgrading an existing service.”
