Dr . Maria Tacelosky recalled the many years that she worked alongside Dr . Schwab , forming a cherished friendship .
“ Brian and I met in 2006 when he attended his first Fourth District Dental Society meeting . Walking across the room I could see this huge smile . We both started talking at the same time and could not stop laughing . Our friendship developed from there and lasted all these years .
We were fortunate to work side by side planning Fourth District meetings , attending the PDA House of Delegates and the ADA Annual Sessions . He served the New Dentist Committee with such passion and knowledge . I often teased him that he couldn ’ t stay on it forever and that some year he would have to give it up and join us ‘ older dentists ,’” Dr . Tacelosky said . “ Brian was an advocate for organized dentistry his entire career and did so with such enthusiasm . He had great insight and knowledge and he always strived to improve the profession . Brian was extremely generous and went out of his way to help others , especially with MOM-n-PA in Reading . As the Fourth District trustee , he recently sent everyone a letter describing how the PAC benefits us all and encouraged everyone to contribute .
“ Brian was genuine , wore his heart on his sleeve , had an infectious laugh and always made you feel good about yourself . A huge void is left in his absence for his wife Audrey and their children , his church , his patients , his friends and the profession of dentistry . The world is a better place for the time we had with Brian . I hope he will always be remembered for his generosity , his presence and contributions to the field of dentistry and the outgoing engaging person who befriended so many of us and were enriched by his life . I will miss you my friend more than I can say .”
