Journal Honored with ICD Award
The International College of Dentists USA Section has selected the Pennsylvania Dental Journal for the Special Citation Award in the ICD ’ s 2021 Journalism Awards . The PDJ was honored for our March / April 2020 issue , a special series of articles that spotlighted caring for the oral health of individuals with special needs .
“ It is a true honor for your Pennsylvania Dental Journal to be recognized by the International College of Dentists for the third year in a row for excellence in journalism ,” said Dr . Steve Radack , PDJ editor . “ I would like to thank the ICD for this honor and especially thank the PDA communications department and its leader Rob Pugliese for everything they do to make this an award-winning publication . I would also like to thank our designer Gregg Sheibley for his creativity in designing the magazine you see bimonthly .”
This marks the third consecutive year that the Journal has been honored in the ICD Journalism Awards , following the 2020 Humanitarian Service Award ( for a special series of articles spotlighting the dental volunteerism of PDA members ) and the 2019 Special Citation Division I Award , for our issue celebrating PDA ’ s 150 th Anniversary .
