Since that time , PDA has done a remarkable job working with other district and local dental societies providing resources and the most up to date information , including an interactive map of Pennsylvania and the site where vaccines are being given . Everyone I work with who wanted to be vaccinated has now had both doses as have most of the dentists in Erie County . You can ’ t give enough thanks to all who worked to make getting the vaccine a reality . It gives a glimmer of hope as more and more people get the vaccine that there can be some return to what we all have known as normal .

P . S . - By the time most of us read this issue , the sun will be setting on Dr . Jim Tauberg ’ s term as your PDA president . I know when Jim was elected president-elect two years ago he never imagined what his year as our president would hold , certainly not a global pandemic and its effects on dentistry ! As someone who has also been your president , I cannot imagine the year Jim has had , but he has handled it with strength and poise and has been a true leader for not only the PDA , but the entire profession . We all owe you a debt of gratitude for your tireless work on our behalf ! THANK YOU Dr . Tauberg !
