Spring is almost here, and with the warmer weather I encourage you to get out of the house and attend some of the many great events the Dublin Chamber has planned for you and your business. A listing of upcoming events can be found on pages 8-9 of this magazine or at DublinChamber.org. One of my favorite spring events is the Business After Hours and Business Person of the Year Celebration. This year, the event will be held on March 17 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at BMI Federal Credit Union. You will be treated to delicious food and beverages as we honor this year’s Business Person of the Year, Joelle Brock, President and CEO of Leading EDJE. I also encourage you to get involved with Dublin’s Corporate Challenge on June 18-19, 2020. April 1 is the deadline to register your team! All sizes of businesses, as well as individuals, are encouraged to participate in this fun event that includes a cornhole tournament, basketball shoot out, Minute-to-Win-It Challenges, volleyball, home run derby, laser tag, and more. Learn more on pages 4-5 of this magazine. I also encourage you to get involved in the community by getting out to vote on March 17. To get details about your polling location and current election information, visit your county’s Board of Elections website. Also this March, the U.S. Census Bureau will send every household an invitation to complete a simple questionnaire about who lives at your address. You will have the opportunity to respond online, by phone, or by mail, and federal law keeps those responses safe and secure. An accurate count of the population determines how many seats each state has in the U.S. House of Representatives and how funding for critical public services is allocated. To learn more, visit 2020Census.gov. ADVERTISING Advertising in this publication is available only to member businesses. Ad sizes range from business card: 3.5” wide x 2” tall; to half page - with bleed: 8.5” wide x 5.25” tall; to full page - with bleed 8.5” wide x 11” tall (for bleeds, add 1/8” to all sides).
