Residents Asked to Support
Washington Township
Fire Department Levy
Washington Township Trustees voted
July 13 to place a five-year, 8.25 levy
on the November ballot. The proposed
levy would renew an existing five-
year levy voters passed in 2010 to
support Washington Township’s Fire
Department. Funds generated by
the levy will be used for day-to-day
expenses to operate four fire stations,
provide administrative functions, and
replace capital equipment, including
replacement of a 22-year old ladder
fire truck. For additional information,

Upskill Your Workforce
Through TechCred
No matter your industry, technology
is having an impact on the future
of your business and the nature of
your work. Ohio’s TechCred program
gives businesses the chance to upskill
current or future employees to help
them qualify for a better job in today’s
tech-infused economy. The program
funds up to 20,000 technology-focused
credentials over the next two years. To

The 2020 Census
Will Shape Your Future
Every 10 years, the United States
counts everyone living in the country
on April 1. The information collected
in the census will determine the
distribution of more than $675 billion
in federal funds each year. These funds
impact critical services, including
education, health care, senior centers,
and public transportation. Beginning
in mid-March 2020, every household in
the United States will receive a notice
to complete the 2020 Census online,
by phone, or by mail. It is important to
know that the Census Bureau will not
send unsolicited emails to request your
participation in the 2020 Census. The
Census will never ask for Social Security
numbers, bank or credit card numbers,
money or donations, or anything
related to political parties. If someone
visits your home to collect a responses
for the 2020 Census, you can make sure
they have a valid ID badge with their
photo, U.S. Department of Commerce
watermark and an expiration date. If
you still have questions about their
identity, you can call 800-823-8282. For
more information, visit 2020Census.gov.
