I m p ressio n s
and ADA and the people you meet. I had
a call from a recent graduate who was one
of my students at LECOM. He wanted my
advice on a career move he was strongly
considering. He had hoped to stay in Erie
for a while, but was not able to find the
right opportunity. He was heading home
and was going to dip a toe in the
corporate arena. He wondered how he
might find, when he was ready, the next
opportunity that would be in private
practice. Was there a directory? A recruiter?
Maybe, but my immediate response was
to go to the local dental society meeting
as soon as he got back home. I know the
folks in his district (Fifth) and know that
this is where he needs to meet his peers,
and through that interaction he will find
that next opportunity and maybe he will
make a friend or more for a lifetime. That
is ROI!
Thank you as always to our loyal members
for belonging. I hope you will find
something in this issue you didn’t even
know was one of your member benefits.
To those of you who were once a part of
this organization, I hope this issue may
once again show you what you are
missing and consider rejoining. Finally to
those colleagues out there who have
never been members, I hope PDA has
made a good case in showing you what
membership in our organization means
and the benefits of being a part of it.
Members are always wanted and welcome!
