The website is an invaluable information hub for all things PDA, containing a tremendous volume of content in an attractive, accessible format, and it is a great membership benefit, providing continuous updates on a wide variety of topics. And with recent changes, regular visitors of the site may have noticed some new features.
Yes, PDA’ s retooled website is looking different today. We’ ve created a responsive interface for easier navigation and locating the content most meaningful to you. We’ ve also added new features to help disseminate important and helpful information to all of our members.
Perhaps the most significant feature is a mobile responsive design for smart phones and other devices. Our other new features include streamlined communication with automatic alerts and emails, and a faster membership application process.
The biggest transformation is in the design. PDA’ s responsive website means better browsing and effortless navigating. Responsive sites are fluid and adjust as needed, scaling up or down to fit your device. So whether you’ re on a smart phone, tablet or desktop, you’ ll be able to find what you need and not lose any time.
Another feature new to the upgrade provides automatic alerts and emails that will keep members updated with both personalized and member-wide messages. These include alerts for new legislation and important deadlines, a notice to pay your membership dues or a reminder to attend an event you’ ve registered for.
We’ ve also updated the membership application process extensively. Membership is so vital to PDA and now joining has become faster and easier. New members can fill out the application on the website, have their dues calculated and make a payment all in one sitting.
Our website updates and design have been executed with a better user experience in mind for both our members and staff. PDA’ s website is our greatest communications tool to serve members so continuous maintenance and regular updates are our priorities. We encourage you to log on and take advantage of all the features.
A reminder of one of the many longtime benefits of the site: district and local dental societies can create their own, unique websites as part of ours, with links on the Membership section of the site. This allows smaller societies, whose budgets are limited, to establish web presences at little or no cost.
