Kitchen: Sponges: every 1 – 2 weeks( or sooner if they smell- trust your nose) Dish brushes: every 3 – 6 months Dish towels: replace every 1- 2 years( wash weekly) Cutting boards- Plastic: every 1- 2 years, Wood: 3- 5 years, if well cared for Food storage containers: when warped, cracked, or stained Water filter( fridge / pitcher): every 2- 6 months( check manufacturer)
Bathroom: Toothbrush / brush head: every 3- 4 months Loofahs / shower sponges: every 3- 4 weeks Bath towels: every 2- 3 years Shower curtain liner: every 6- 12 months Razors( disposable): every 5- 10 shaves
Bedroom: Pillows- synthetic: 2 years, down: 3 years Sheets: every 2 – 4 years Mattress: every 7 – 10 years Closet air fresheners: every 2 – 3 months
Cleaning Supplies: Vacuum filter: every 6 – 12 months Vacuum belt: every 6 – 12 months Brooms / mops: every 1 – 2 years Cleaning cloths( microfiber): 1 – 2 years, but be sure to wash cloths often.

Home & Safety: Smoke detector batteries: 6- 12 months Smoke detectors( entire unit): every 10 years Fire extinguisher: replace or service every 5 – 15 years Light bulbs: LED: 10 – 20 years( or 15,000 – 25,000 hours)
