Step 1
Fill piping bags with buttercream and appropriate tips .
Step 2 & 3
Place cake on your cake stand for ease of decorating . Using the peach buttercream with the widest tip , place the flat side of the ip against the cake so the striped side is visible . Pipe a row of buttercream starting at the base of the cake working your way upwards . Continue over the top of the cake . Pipe another 3 rows up the sides of the cake . Use a wave motion to add movement to the buttercream .
Step 4
Using your rose buttercream and petal tip , pipe a row of ruffles next to the peach buttercream following its wave . Make sure the wide end of the nozzle is against the cake so that the fine edge creates the ruffle .
Step 5
Next , pipe a shell border row of the plum buttercream adjacent to the rose ruffle . Start at the base of the cake and work your way upwards with a squeeze / release motion .
