Next is my favourite part- glitter cherries ! I use Maraschino cherries with the stem attached and Rolkem glitters . Once I have chosen my cherries and lightly pat them dry with a paper towel , I start to gently roll them around in the glitter container . I keep rolling the cherry around until it is evenly covered and then lightly tap the cherry on the bench to remove excess glitter .
Trying to be gentle , yet precise , push your cherry into the swirls we piped earlier . It can get messy if you decide to move the cherry as the glitter will stick completely to the buttercream and can easily look messy if you need to re-arrange it . Of course , this is easily fixed by removing the swirl and reapplying , but it ’ s good to try and aim to get it done the first time J
