Reading & Robes : 15th Judicial Circuit Judges Inspire Students with Books Signed by Justice Sotomayor
The Judicial Relations Committee , together with the Association ’ s Lawyers for Literacy and Law Related Education Committees , recently brought to students at South Grade Elementary in Lake Worth the “ Reading & Robes ” program , a community outreach initiative led by The National Judicial College . Judges and attorneys read to the students Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor ’ s autobiographical book , Turning Pages : My Life Story . The group discussed with the students the book as well as answered questions the students had about law , jury trials , the justice system , and careers in the law .
