WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO OTHER BUSINESS OWNERS WHO MAY FIND THEMSELVES IN A HARD SPOT ? Boy we have been here a few times over the 17 years we have been in business , and we will be there many times to come . Always go back to basics ; where did you start , where are you now and where are you going ? Don ’ t be afraid of what has happened or to ask for feedback and help from other people . There is always a lesson to be learned or an improvement to be made . Although you might be overwhelmed don ’ t be afraid of change – even if you have to abandon everything you thought was the right path .
OUTSIDE OF RUNNING YOUR BUSINESS , WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES ? I actually cannot believe that I am saying this but walking , exercise and meditation for enjoyment and mental health . I also love sewing and spending time with family and friends .
WHAT CAN WE EXPECT TO SEE FOR CAKE DECORATING CENTRAL IN 2022 ? We are so excited about 2022 ! Mostly we are dreaming of how wonderful it will be to have our classes restarting . We finally have Javier from Luma ’ s Cake visiting us in late August and September and we also have plans for Marta Torres for some unbelievable cookie workshops . Our store in Castle Hill had big changes when we relocated in January 2022 and we will be doing major renovations in our Campbelltown store in the first quarter . Nunawading also has expanded ( again ) and we have a new bigger classroom in works that we hope to finish in February . Continuing on from our successes in 2021 we will be expanding our catalogue with new and exciting products in our catalogue . We also cannot wait for face to face catchups with our ACDN and Cake Industry friends .
