SPEAKER ’ S BIO : Since graduating in 1990 from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering , Paul Schmitz has held a variety of sales , business development and sales management roles within the construction and technology industry . Over the last 15 years , Paul ’ s experience has been promoting synthetic building materials in the civil and marine construction industry . Most of those years were spent with CMI , focusing on large-scale engineered projects for environmental remediation , flood prevention and shoreline protection . In early 2020 , Paul transitioned to Tensar International Corporation as the Market Manager for Public Roads , setting the strategic growth plan for this market . He consults with a variety of clientele from contractors and engineers to all levels of government agencies , including extensive experience with Federal agencies such as the USACE and NRCS .
