A COVID-safe concert and ballet performance took the stage at Veterans Memorial Auditorium to usher in the New Year . Renowned musicians Pinchas Zukerman and Amanda Forsyth teamed up with Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra members as well as Metropolitan Opera pianist Brian Wagorn and Handel and Haydn ’ s Ian Watson . Dancers from Festival Ballet Providence interpreted the pieces through choreography under the direction of artistic curator and choreographer Yury Yanowsky .– JAMIE COELHO
