now we were just going up , period – and up , and up , and up . Traction was good , fortunately , and I just kept churning away . Interestingly , while there were plenty of other riders going at it as well , there was no one in front of me , as it appeared there were quite a number of different routes up this hill , or shall we say , mountain . Eventually , we came to a logging road , cut into the side of the mountain , got onto it , and the rest of the climb was a cruise . At the crest , we broke into an open area , and I seemed to recall Coombs saying something in the rider ’ s meeting about “ Table Top Mountain ” or something like that . Regardless , the top of the mountain was indeed flat , and open , and covered with huge , flat-topped rocks . And , perched on one of these rocks I noticed a lone spectator – a very large woman . God bless her , I don ’ t know how this lady got all the way out there , as there was no ATV
