Another meaning comes from our happiness to be able to secure the BLM permits to hold a trials event on BLM land !
I ride trials since late 2009 . On a scale , I am a newbie . ATA roots back to 1965 . I wasn ' t even born yet . For quite another decade +. I knew nothing of moto-trials when I started riding . Never even heart of the sport before [ coming to the States in late 2002 , I am from Prague , Czech Republic ]. In fact , I didn ' t ride motorcycles of any kind before trials . I got involved with organizing trials events soon after I started riding . Building trails / loops and section , checking , scoring etc . In 2016 I became SCTA Treasurer . In 2020 became SCTA President . In a way , I don ' t feel it ' s right for me to write an article or say anything at all . I have so much to learn . And the more I learn , the more I realize how little I know . On the other hand , SCTA and trials in SoCal goes on . We will always make sure of it . I am not the best rider , I don ' t know all its history . But sure as hell , I [ with support of others ] will make it go on .
Belair as a trials event of the West and a fundraiser , to sponsor Trials de Nations Team USA , and help to fund next Worlds Trials Champion from USA .
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic , our El Trial de España had to be postponed several times . Currently a date set for this iconic event is October 9 - 10 / 2021 in Cahuilla , CA ( Motoventures ).
