No matter how many races I do , my stomach still drops a little bit when I click that " Complete Registration " button . It doesn ' t make it any easier when the event is labeled with fun words like " Extreme ", or " Hard ., or Covid Crusher 2.0 " It ' s sort of like signing a contract with the devilhim being myself , and knowing that no matter what , I need to get to this race and attempt to complete it . Thats when the work starts , and it doesnt stop until you ' re back at home doing a thorough damage assessment of mind , body , and machine .
How did this all start ? A simple request from my friend Nick to give his bike a lookover before a hard enduro he ' s planning to attend in February . Being a hard enduro / trials fan myself , and it being a balmy 35 * Average in Maryland I enquired
