ASK THE PRO

Question :
From : Alley K . – Tee It Up Student When a group of people golf together , how do they discern whose ball is who ’ s on the green ?
Answer :
This is a great question ! All golf balls have a number on them . For example , my ball is a Titleist with the number 1 , 2 , 3 or 4 . So , I just look at which number I ’ m playing on that hole . However , sometimes someone in your group may be playing the exact same ball as you . To identify my golf ball , I also add two green dots with a Sharpie ( one dot on each side of the number ) to identify it ’ s my ball for sure .
Question :
From : Andrea H . - Tee It Up Student As a brand-new golfer , I am just about to complete the Adult Tee It Up Series Front 9 . When do you suggest someone at my level go out and play their first actual round of golf ? After completing Series 1 classes ? Also , I saw your Double Par Rule in the Newsletter - any other tips for that first recreational round ? Thanks !
Answer :
Good Question ! I get this question often . Now that you have completed your Tee It Up – Front 9 class , you are more than ready to play golf out on the course for the first time . The “ Double Par Rule ” in last month ’ s newsletter takes the pressure off . I even recommend not even using a scorecard the first couple of times . Just go out and hit shots on each of the holes and enjoy the experience . Using the Operation 36 tees are also a great way to go out there the first time . It allows you the opportunity to learn on the course closer to the green . Finally , March 27 is our next Adult Operation 36 On-Course event . During our first event in February , we had multiple first time “ on-course ” players . All of them told me how much they enjoyed the event and how the Op36 format made them feel more comfortable on the course , gain confidence and had a ton of fun . We look forward to seeing you on the course soon !
