GIBRALTAR FUTSAL:

EURO 2020 Qualfiers

We spoke to player, Zane Holgado About his experience in Bosnia-herzegovinia, representing gibraltar on the european stage.

THE PINKS

Q. What were your expectations going into the tournament?

A. Going into the Qualifiers I knew we had a difficult task. Having played previously against Switzerland and Cyprus I knew the level was really high.

Q. How do you think you performed?

A. On a personal note, I think this has been my best performance thus far. I think my confidence has been growing game by game in the league this season and it showed. Hopefully I can keep playing to the best of my ability and prove to be an asset to the squad.

Q. What positives can Gibraltar take from these results?

A. If you compare our results this time round, you can see how far the squad have come. We actually had Switzerland against the ropes and to say we could have actually beat them shows we have come a long way.

Q. How can this experience benefit Bavaria and your teammates?

A. The experience benefits the squad as a whole because not only does it improve my personal game, but it allows me to share this experience with the Bavaria boys when I come back.

Q. What would be the next aim for Gibraltar as a squad for the next few months?

A. We definitely have a squad, which could make history. I think having this younger squad will favour us for many years. As a squad, for the next months, I think we should keep building on what we have and take our game to the next level. We definitely have our eyes set on victories if we continue in this current mindset.
