Good day and welcome to your Kingdom Connection for March 2018- Week 4: WEDNESDAY! Today we will dive into what separates Christianity from all other faiths in the world INCLUDING those who believe in and acknowledge JESUS! Always remember, it's not enough for the Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses and Islam to profess Jesus alone. There are specific circumstances and understandings that the Catholic and Protestant CHRISTIAN believes about Christ, the Lamb of God and it makes all the difference in your relationship with Jesus Christ.
From the Old Testament, through God's first covenant people, the Israelites, we learned about the power of the blood of the lamb. It was through their obedience to God's prescribed steps that they were "saved". The life of their first born was spared AND Pharaoh let God's people GO!
It was God who instructed them to take the blood of the unblemished lamb and apply it to the doorpost of their home. Once His Kingdom began with multiple people, He established the Priesthood; Men who intercede for the people of God to keep them in right standings with God. The priest had the job of sacrificing the unblemished acceptable, lambs (or the prescribed offering) in order for the sins or transgressions made my God's Kingdom citizens to be forgiven and their relationship put back in tact wholly.
Galatians 4:4-5 says:
But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. that when the fullness of time
When Jesus became of age and the time had come for Him to begin the work His Heavenly Father sent Him to do, John the Baptizing One introduced him in this manner: (John 1:29)
The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
Today I'm listing 7 things about the Lamb of God that must be understood so that you are never convinced to follow a faith that does not preach THIS JESUS!
1) Jesus, the Lamb of God was Virgin Born
Isaiah 7:14 and Matthew 1:23
Behold, a virgin shall be with child and shall bring forth a Son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel” (which being interpreted is, “God with us”)
2) Jesus is the 2nd or LAST Adam
I Corinthians 15:45
So it is written: “The first man Adam became a living being;” the last Adam a life-giving spirit.
These are the only 2 men that were not created by the sperm of a man AND the egg of a woman
3) Jesus is our ONLY opportunity to be made righteous- Romans 5:19
For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.
4. God sent Him to save us- John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
The Lamb of God atones for OUR sins.
