David R. Lunnie
DAVID R. LUNNIE
CONCORD, VT.– David R. Lunnie, 64, of Lunnie Farm Road, died of a sudden illness in Gilman on Thursday, March 23, 2017.
David was born in Concord on July 5, 1952, the son of Paul W. and Beverly( Folsom) Lunnie. Following his father’ s career he and his family resided in several parts of New England including Maine, Southern New Hampshire and Connecticut.
For most of his own career David had worked as a radio disc jockey. He was employed at many radio stations including WOKQ, WSTJ, and Magic 97.7. He also worked for various stations in Boston, Philadelphia and New York. He has done voice overs for documentaries, video games, and Governor John Sununu.
David held other jobs locally including bus driver for the Concord School, mail carrier, website builder, and attendant at the Bethlehem Landfill. For a time he served on the Concord Planning Board. He was a member of the Top of the World ATV Club.
Family members include his wife Star( Morton) Lunnie of Concord; two sons Douglas Lunnie of Eliot, Maine, Robert Lunnie and wife Leisha of Great Falls, Montana; a brother Daniel Lunnie of Lebanon, Maine; ten grandchildren; step-sons Harold Heath, Joseph Heath, and Tim and Liz Heath and family, close grandson Tristan Therrien, all of

CHARLES REGINALD ZANES
LANCASTER – Charles Reginald Zanes, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2017.“ Reg” was a recent resident of the Country Village Nursing Home, Lancaster, New Hampshire, but had had made his home in Lancaster, on Pleasant Street, for over 50 years.
Reg was born Feb. 5, 1939, in Concord to Charles William Zanes and Evelyn Sherburne Zanes. His family had lived in the Lakes Region and the N. H. Seacoast area since the 1600’ s. World War II brought Reg’ s family north, first to Groveton and then Stratford, where his father made his career in the paper industry.
A graduate of Groveton High School in 1957, Reg worked locally as a mechanic before entering military service in the US Army in 1962. Stationed at Fort Knox, Kentucky, Reg was a diesel mechanic in the armored division. He returned to New Hampshire following his service and worked for many years as a skilled mechanic, with much of his career being in the Woodlands Division for the Groveton Paper Board. He then worked for Scrub Benoit until retiring in 2003.
Reg was married in 1964 to Patricia Connary of Lancaster. They made their home in Lancaster with their family until her death in 1991. In 1997, Reg married Anna Caouette of Groveton. They would have been married 20 years this August.
His friends and family knew Reg to be a talented craftsman who was happiest in his garage or in the woods – wherever he could tinker and whistle while he worked. He loved music, the outdoors, northern logging history, and restoring antique farming tractors.
Reg is survived by his wife, Anna, of Whitefield; his children: Holly Zanes, of Burlington, Vt.; Travis Zanes, of Concord; Trent Zanes, of Concord; and Chad Zanes, of Lancaster; and six grandchildren: Cole, Madeleine, and Charlotte Khamnei, of Burlington, Vt.; Elizabeth Zanes of Hopkinton; Kaelyn Zanes of Concord; and Julia Zanes of Lancaster. He is survived by his brother, William Zanes, of North Stratford. Reg is also survived by his stepchildren and their families, his cousins, nieces and a nephew.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 2, at 2 p. m. in St. Paul’ s Episcopal Church, Lancaster. Burial will be in the spring in Summer Street Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are kindly suggested to the Lancaster Emergency Medical Service, 19 Mechanic St., Lancaster, NH 03584.

MARY E. KEAZER
COLEBROOK – Mary Emily Keazer, 102, passed away on Thursday morning, March 23, 2017, at the Coos County Nursing Hospital in West Stewartstown.
She was born on Feb. 19, 1915, in Berlin to Albert and Laura( Blake) Peabody, the youngest of their four children.
Mary attended Keene State College and graduated from its three-year Junior High course of studies in June, 1935, and returned for one year of elementary school training in 1936. Mary moved to Colebrook and taught at the Harvey Swell School for five years and at the South Columbia School for a year.
She married James“ Bill” C. Keazer, Jr., on July 18, 1941. They had two sons, Bradley and Robert. They resided at the home farm, becoming owners in 1951. They received numerous milk quality awards and were recognized in 1963 with the N. H. State Grange“ Century Farm” Award. Mary helped with the daily farm chores and the drove the field truck well into her late 80s. She was married to Bill for 62 years until his death in 2003.
Mary was a member of the Kidderville Community Church for 35 years, holding church offices and she was president of the ladies’ group“ The Social Workers of Kidderville.” She also was one of the church organists. She was very active in the local PTA in the 1950s and 1960s.
Mary was a loving wife and mother, and she enjoyed her family, always the teacher, spending hours reading, playing board games, doing puzzles with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her family meant all to her. She was a talented knitter and made hundreds of sweaters, mittens and
