BURY WINTER CARNIVAL
The small town of Bury , Que ., came to life last Saturday , Feb . 25 , as they held their annual Winter Carnival in grand style . The fun all kicked off on Saturday morning with children ’ s games and assorted activities for both young and old . At around noon , the Bury Fire Dept . had a hot-dog barbecue and homemade sausage cook-out with all the fixings . It was a super lunch for sure , helping to get ready for an afternoon of activities .
There was an obstacle course , egg toss , and horse-drawn wagon ride done by Marc Bolduc and Shelley Jacklyn around town . The wagon was filled to capacity and the tour of Bury was nice . At 5 p . m ., a lovely spaghetti supper was served to all after a fun afternoon . A dance followed , also organized by the Bury Fire Dept . ( as was the whole carnival ). This year ’ s honorary President was Beth Strapps . She told us she was very honored to have been chosen . The crowd danced well into the night enjoying the music .
