I met Jake and his Captain Jim Lamarque early on a clear, cold morning at the
Rigolets. Jake climbed into his “spot” on the
boat as if his name was on it, and Captain
Jim helped photographer Lindsay Lenart and
me onto his 24’ catamaran. We were hoping
for some trout, but with the strong west wind
and the spillway opening, the water was
murky. As we headed out to Lakeshore Estates, Captain Jim told us how Jake came to
live with him.
