A MEMBERSHIP LIKE NO OTHER Did you know the most unique private club membership in the country is in your backyard? Canongate Golf Clubs offers an unprecedented type of membership with access to a select group of 22 private clubs in the greater Atlanta area, including Hamilton Mill Golf Club in Dacula and Traditions of Braselton Golf Club in Braselton. Both facilities provide championship courses with rolling terrain and excellent Bentgrass greens. Add to that a dynamic club life and you have two of the most popular clubs in the Canongate portfolio. Popular professional golfer Fred Couples began his design career with his collaboration with architect Gene Bates at Hamilton Mill. The 6,843-yard, par-72 layout features elevation changes, undulating fairways and scenic stone walls throughout. In addition, the course puts a premium on accuracy with tight, tree-lined landing areas and challenging Bentgrass greens. These greens will be converted this summer to Mini Verde Bermuda which is considered by many to be the best putting surface available. The Club has also recently received a new fleet of carts. Traditions of Braselton is equally impressive, as Arthur Hills’ protégé, Mike Dasher, brought his design talents to the 6,734-yard, par-72 course. Featuring rolling, tree-lined fairways and Bentgrass greens, the course is reminiscent of a traditional northeast links course. Water comes into play on nine holes as well making club selection and accurate shot placement keys to success. When you are not on the course, both clubs offer excellent practice facilities and private and group lessons from the professional golf staff. In fact, Traditions of Braselton is a certified Launch Monitor Facility, and Hamilton Mill has one of Atlanta’s best practice areas with a 10-acre range, 7,000 square feet of putting greens, sand bunkers and a 2,000-square-foot chipping green. In addition, Director of Instruction Chuck Scoggins—recently named 2013 Georgia PGA Junior Golf Coach of the Year—leads one of the top junior development programs in the country. Hamilton Mill and Traditions of Braselton also offer great dining options and active social calendars. There are golf leagues for men, women and seniors that put on a number of tournaments throughout the year. If you and your family want to spend more time outdoors and enjoy quality time with friends, a membership to Hamilton Mill and Traditions of Braselton offers the perfect opportunity.
