In my city sub zero temperature are not an uncommon occurrence. In those settings the wise man goes outside wearing a coat and hat and gloves! The coat keeps him warm and provides some defense from the harsh cold and wind. Sometimes, in life things get harsh and bitter, just like the weather. In those times we need a covering. Something that can shelter us against the elements of life. That shelter is God; I suggest you let Him cover you. God declares that if you are fruitful He will cut you back so that you have more fruit. So let’s think about this for a second. When you are doing a good job, before the Lord and bearing fruit, and reaching lives that qualifies you before God to get cut back. That goes His attention and He begins to prune you so that you can become even more fruitful. In our day and age, when God begins pruning us so many onlookers are so quick to say, “we must not be blessed anymore” And at times we begin to feel that too. But perhaps being pruned is evidence that you are bless and God is looking for more out of you. I’m convinced that the best parts of us are buried deep on the inside and the trials of life are what pushes us and causes out greatness to rise. Take a listen to the Olive
