ABOUT THE AUTHOR
My name is Mara Wilson. I was born on October 15, 1999, in Corvallis, Oregon. I look a
lot like my oldest sister, Letitia, and I am athletic, funny, nice, and outgoing. I have blue eyes,
and brown hair, which I guess is pretty rare. I play clarinet in band, and I am currently first chair.
I play basketball, softball, and volleyball. Volleyball is my absolute favorite sport. I also do track.
I really like track, because I love to hurdle! So far, my best time is 17.84, but I’m working on
beating that. I also love long jump.
I love to paint people’s nails, and do people’s hair. I am doing hair for the school’s
production of High School Musical. I am also on the stage crew. I don’t dress up very much, but
I love to let my friends borrow my clothes, so I can dress them up. My friends help me through
all my tough times, and I don’t know what I would do without them.
A final thing about me is that I love my family so much. My siblings are Letitia, Taylor,
Kap, Eli, and Cody. They are there for me when my friends can’t. We laugh, cry, hurt, and work
together. If anything has kept me strong, it would be my close friends and for sure my family.
Everyone in my family has their own special type of humor, and I love every bit of it. I am glad
to make this tribute for Cody, he deserves it. I hope you enjoy reading this, and I hope it brings
back nothing but good memories. There’s a reason everyone loved Cody.
