Istorical background

Since 1783 the English scientist John Michell, in a letter to Henry Cavendish, talking about the speed of escape from a celestial body, he hypothesized that it could be superior to the speed of light, giving rise to what he called a "dark star".

In 1795 Pierre-Simon de Laplace reported this dea in the first edition of his treatise Mécanique céleste.

These are hypotheses based on the studies of Isaac Newton, British scientist who lived between the XVII and the XVII century, whose observations and studies have shown that in the Universe two bodies yes attract in a way directly proportional to the product of their masses e inversely proportional to the square of their distance.
