Special Beyond the Yellow Ribbon concert set for July 16
The Maple Grove Days kickoff is presented by Sounds of Summer, a program by Maple Grove Parks and Recreation.
This standout concert ensemble features Mick Sterling performing a tribute concert,“ Heart and Soul: The Songs of Huey Lewis and the News.”
Join in as Maple Grove Beyond the Yellow Ribbon honors active military members, veterans and their families.
It all happens at 7 p. m. Wednesday, July 16, at the Town Green, 7991 Main St. Arrive early and have dinner and concession treats.

The group sells food and refreshments donated by Chick-fil-A, and then uses all funds raised to support Maple Grove’ s military families. In recent months, they have aided many families with funds for food, transportation and housing.
Beyond the Yellow Ribbon is a comprehensive program that creates awareness to connect service members and their families with community support, training, services and resources.
Those resources include social services, health and wellness, potential employment
opportunities or just a committed environment where those in need can connect with others willing to provide help.
Maple Grove became a nationally-recognized Yellow Ribbon Community in 2013.
Individuals are instrumental in continuing the Maple Grove Beyond the Yellow Ribbon’ s success.
