Telling the Stories
of Manufacturing
The third-annual Manufacturing Week bus tour covered 2,300 miles and countless
stories of how modern manufacturing changes lives and communities.
From Aberdeen to Clarkston, from Colville to
Vancouver, manufacturing supports our state’s
economy and families. To help tell that story,
AWB set out in October on our third-annual
Manufacturing Week bus tour. The goal was
simple: to highlight Washington’s manufacturing
sector, celebrate manufacturers, and talk about
policies we need to support manufacturers.
It’s an easy and important story to tell. More
than 7,600 manufacturers across Washington
generate $59 billion in economic output. The
287,000 manufacturing jobs statewide, in nearly
every county, make a difference. To make those
numbers come to life, we invite you to meet the
manufacturers and the manufacturing employees
of Washington. AWB is proud to tell their stories.
