At Seattle Makers, a group of dedicated
“Maketeers” pay $97 a month for
access to a wide array of equipment,
from sewing machines to 3-D printers
and laser cutters. The maker space is
just off the northern end of the new SR
99 tunnel.
Below: Jeremy Hanson, 36, is the co-founder of Seattle Makers. The
facility encourages cooperation and education. Children as young as
8 can be in the downtown Seattle makerspace. “We have 11-year-olds
doing graduate-level work,” Hanson said.
