these files contain a lot of additional text – tournament reports, tables, general
messages – they can still be accessed directly, without any prior conversion. Just
make sure the file has the ending “PGN”. The program will ignore all the text in
between the games.
Note:You can convert games from one format to the other by copying them into a
database with the required format.

3.4.33 ChessBase Magazine
C he s s B a s e M a ga z ine is published every two months. This unique, electronic
publication contains over 1000 games from the best tournaments throughout the
world. A majority of them are extensively annotated, often by world class players and
often with easy-to-understand text commentary. There are special sections for
opening surveys, gambits, tactics, middle and endgames, blunders. ChessBase
Magazine presents the ultimate training material for ambitious players.

The Magazine is also the ideal upgrade tool for the openings tree. Every two months
you can execute the function Openings book – Learn import games or Learn from
database and the program’s knowledge of openings theory will be completely up to
date.
ChessBase Magazine also contains exciting multimedia reports from current
tournaments, private interviews with top players, and video commentary of their
games.
With this program you can enjoy all aspects of ChessBase Magazine, including the text
reports and the multimedia sequences. A special "reader" is also included on the DVD,
which has many of the important functions of the ChessBase program.
