The “Move List” records your navigation through your opening. Whenever you move forward by a candidate move it is added to the move list. The “Position Comment” shows the comment for the current position if any exist. Finally the “Position Explorer” is a quite powerful alternative way to navigate through your opening. Opening Ribbon The Navigation group has some special commands to navigate through an opening. The Miscellaneous Position Operations (p. 59) group also does not exactly match one of the windows. They are explained in their respective sections. To the left you can see a navigation pane which includes the Opening Repertoire Explorer which let you edit your repertoire and show openings. Opening Tabs In the middle you can see a chessboard if any opening has been shown. Above the chessboard you can see the name of the currently loaded openings. If you double-click on an opening in the Opening Explorer or you use the “Show” command the opening will be loaded and added to the tab. All other windows depend on the currently shown opening (e.g. the Move List).
