PART 2 • Printing and exporting games and positions
• If you have a chess website, you can choose one of the two HTML
format options to save the game in a form readable by web browsers.
Static HTML creates an .html file in which just the game moves are
displayed in algebraic notation. Choosing Dynamic HTML not only
saves the game in algebraic notation but also creates a chessboard
and move buttons which will allow your site's visitors to replay the game
online using the “dynamic” board. Clicking the forward and backward
“VCR” buttons on the web page which Chess King creates will move
the pieces on the chessboard, letting the site's visitors replay the game
without the aid of a physical board.
• There are two additional options which are useful for online bloggers:
Blog and Blog (from current position). The only practical difference
between the two is that “Blog” exports the entire game, while “Blog
(from current position)” exports only part of the game, from the position
you've currently displayed in Chess King to the end of the game.
