Note that the Success percentage is not an evaluation of how good a move is, but is instead a gauge of how well a move performed in practical play as represented by the games in the GigaKing database. However, the right-hand“ Score” column is a computer evaluation of how good a move is, based on computer evaluation of the resulting position after the move is played. The position is evaluated by a strong chess engine( using the same process as running a engine analysis on a position in Chess King as we saw in the last chapter) and the result in the“ Score” column is read in exactly the same way as you ' d read Houdini ' s analysis. In the following illustration, the Score column to the right of O-O shows that White is ahead by 5 / 100ths of a pawn after White has castled on the Kingside:
