PART 2 • Analyzing your games with houdini
There are a couple of different ways to start Houdini ' s positional analysis as you replay a game. One is to click the“ Analyze” button in the ribbon, and then click“ Analyze” from the left-hand panel:
This will show the Houdini analysis modes and tools in the panel:
• In this panel, the“ Infinite” section provides the controls for analyzing single positions.“ Game” offers options for having Houdini analyze complete games( which we ' ll examine a bit later in this chapter). The curiously-named“ Engine Personalities” section provides advanced tools which chess programmers and developers can use to modify the way Houdini plays. The majority of these options are undocumented; only one will be presented in this book a bit later on. Right now, let ' s look at the controls under“ Infinite”.
