“Add null move” is a great way to show threats (which, after
all, are defined as what a player would do if he could make
two moves in a row). You can add a “non-move” (which
appears as a dash in the notation) to show what a player
would do if he could move twice. For example, after 1.e4
Nf6, Black will play 2...Nxe4 if White does nothing about the
threatened capture. To show this in the notation, click on 1...
Nf6 and then click “Add Null Move”. This adds the “blank”
move to the notation, and after making the move 2...Nxe4, the
notation would look like this:
